Expand Iron Tool We sell the Press Adapter and Expand Iron Mandrels separately. We do not sell the complete tool in one unit. The pricing is the same when you create your own. New virgin brass is not meant to be neck turned out of the box. Brand new brass needs to be uniformed to obtain best results. Just running a piece of brass through a FL or Neck Size die may not square things up due to OEM variations in expander ball size. The reloader needs to be one controlling the neck concentricity. The Expand Iron mandrel when mated to the Press Adapter becomes the right tool for the job. The Expand Iron Mandrels will iron out (smooth) and slightly expand the case neck so the brass will spring back to the correct size needed to for optimum results while neck turning. This tool can also be used to expand up to a larger caliber; great for the Wildcatters. To remove the dough nut, adjust the bottom screw to stop the neck expansion just short of the dough nut. Then then mounting the carbide fluted cutter will remove the dough nut.
