Sinclair International ( Brownells) SS NT Expand Mandrel-408 Cal

The Sinclair expander neck turning tool mandrels are made from high grade stainless steel. The shape, finish, and size are the result of years of use and experimentation by many hand loaders. Sinclair mandrels fit the NT-1000, NT-3000, and Premium neck turning tools. The neck turning mandrels are approximately about .002"" less than the bullet diameter for the caliber. Whereas, the Sinclair expander mandrels are made .001"" larger than the turning mandrels. Using an expander mandrel prior to neck turning sizes the case to fit the neck turning mandrels perfectly. As side benefit the Sinclair mandrels can be used to ""neck"" cases up to the next caliber when used with the Gen II Expander Die Body.  For standard calibers 17- 8mm caliber use the Standard Gen II Expander Die Body (our part number SIN-749-011-715) and for larger calibers use Gen Larger Caliber Expander Die Body (our part number SIN-749-008-843).
