Most brass case when formed at the OEM plant has had the flash hole punched rather than drilled. Punched flash holes lead to irregular dispersion of the primer flame as a result of burrs and inconsistent size This will cause "shot-to-shot" differences in primer flame", causing inconsistent pressure/velocity and, thereby, loss of accuracy. The K&M Professional series Flash Hole Tools come with a replaceable cutter, a hex knob to prevent rolling off the table, and other features to aid in consistent results
