First and foremost all Berger Bullets are “Match” grade. Berger mates J4 bullet jackets with lead core to produce some of the highest quality bullets in the world. Berger has numerous bullet designs with a “boat tail” or “BT”. The standard Berger “BT” bullets include a tangent ogive. The tangent ogive sets off this bullet design from the VLD designed bullets that are constructed with a secant ogive. While the tangent ogive boat tail bullet is a common design among most manufacturers. These bullets are easy to make shoot accurately and can perform very well as a dependable short and mid-range target and varmint bullets. The tangent ogive does not cut through the wind like the secant ogive of a similar length but it more than makes up for this with precision that is easy to achieve in most rifles.
